Data Deletion Request

Email us at [email protected] from the email address registered to your Footlads account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”.

Sending the request from your registered email helps us confirm the account is yours. If you signed up with a phone number or Google, tell us the email or phone linked to your account so we can locate it. We may ask one or two questions to verify your identity before we delete anything, which protects you from someone else requesting deletion of your account.

When we action your request, we remove the personal data we hold about you, including:

• Your account details: name, email, phone number, and password;
• Your bookings, the games you joined or organised, and venues you listed;
• Chat messages, notifications, and any images you uploaded;
• Your login sessions and push-notification tokens;
• Any identity documents you sent us to verify yourself, and any venue documents you sent us;
• Associated records held with the third-party services we use, including Google Firebase (sign-in, analytics, and crash reporting) and stored files, to the extent they identify you.

Some information may be kept where we are required to retain it by law, or in an anonymised form that can no longer identify you. Content that is inseparable from another user’s record (for example, a chat message another user needs to see in context) may be retained but disassociated from your identity where possible. If you have installed the App, any data stored only on your own device is removed when you uninstall the App.

We handle deletion requests manually. We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your request, and we will email you to confirm once it is done. Deletion is permanent. Once your account and data are removed, they cannot be recovered.
